Feeling exasperated and helpless, Tong Su abandoned the idea of buying another healing card for Tian Xuanzi. She brought over a small jade plate containing powdered Ruiteng berries, pursing her lips and warning, "Stay still, I'm changing your dressing."
Tian Xuanzi reached for the plate and looked it over, surprised, "Ruiteng berries? These aren't easy to find. Where did you get them?"
He had been struck by the thunder catastrophe several times and naturally wouldn't ignore his injuries. The best medicine for this type of wound was Ruiteng berries, rare fruits that even his subordinates had difficulty finding after turning the Demon Realm upside down.
Surprisingly, she had some, and the quality was even better than those in the Demon Realm.
Tong Su replied, "It was a welcoming gift from Teacher Xuan Yan."
The Ruiteng berries could miraculously heal lightning wounds, but they were only effective for such injuries. Despite their rarity, their effect was somewhat limited - how many people, like Tian Xuanzi, could bear a thunder catastrophe and still dared to swagger around?

"Does it hurt? If it hurts, be more careful next time. I'm just staying in the city and not going anywhere. You're not missing much by coming here a bit late. Why do you have to be so careless with your body!"
"Are those chatterboxes the ones who've told you?" He clicked his tongue and chuckled, "Bold indeed. They're not afraid I'll deal with them when I return."
"If you hadn't been injured, they wouldn't have been able to say much."
Tong Su replied bluntly. After cleaning the bloodstain from his wound and sprinkling Ruiteng berry powder on, the ferocious wound began to show signs of healing immediately.
"Teacher Xuan Yan mentioned that the Pill Refining Pavilion still has some Ruiteng berries. I can probably get some. I hope that there will be enough berries to heal your wounds completely... Lift your arm, I need to bandage it."
Tian Xuanzi hummed in response and extended his arms, watching the bustling young girl with gentle eyes and a lifted eyebrow.
"Speaking of your two teachers, they are quite distinguished figures. Xuan Yan is relatively reserved, always staying under the radar, but as for your Teacher Wen Qing, have you heard her story?"
Tong Su curiously asked, "What story?"
She had, until now, only focused on the pair's accomplishments in pill and tool progression, never prying into their gossip.
"Well, it's not really a private issue. Her story is known far and wide, causing a sensation a few centuries ago. I guess anyone who has lived a few hundred years has probably heard about it."
Seeing her interest, Tian Xuanzi eagerly recounted the tale: "Actually, she comes from a sect. Centuries ago, she had a beloved that she was about to take as a Daoist partner, but..."
He was about to relay another sorrowful tale of a woman betrayed by her lover.
