Boss-gege Excessive Spoiling - Chapter 165

Arc 3: Part 23

Fear finally crept into the hearts of Lu Han Yuanjun and her companions. With jittery hands clutching their weapons, they spoke in a deep voice, "Tian Xuanzi, what do you really want?"

Tian Xuanzi responded languidly, "What do I want? Whatever it is, you guys can't provide it. So, is there any point in asking?"

"What are you implying right now? Are you planning to wage war against Ziwei Heavenly Palace? That's your former sect. How could you do this!"

"Wage war?" He laughed lightly. "What would be the benefits of waging war? What do you have that would be worth my effort to seize? Don't overestimate yourselves. You're not as important as you think."

Lu Han Yuanjun and her companions turned ashen at his derogatory remarks, but they didn't dare to break with him. They clenched their teeth while sweating profusely and demanded, "What exactly do you want? Be clear!"

As they argued with Tian Xuanzi, Tong Su stood silently behind him. A fiery little firebird, listless and deflated, resurfaced from her dantian, sluggishly climbed onto her shoulder and sighed in frustration.

Suddenly, a sword named Chi Ming noticed the tiny firebird. Its tassel shook in fear. Seizing the moment when Tian Xuanzi ignored it, it cautiously approached Tong Su. Seeing Tian Xuanzi's lack of reaction, it immediately felt relieved and continually poked Tong Su's hand with the hilt, rubbing her arm with its tassel.

Seeing this, the little firebird opened its beak in a silent squawk of anger. Chi Ming felt more triumphant, poking at the phoenix with one of its tassels, appearing to pick a fight out of jealousy.

Tong Su knew that Tian Xuanzi's Chi Ming sword had already been imbued with spiritual intelligence. Although it was not yet a full Sword Spirit, it was currently considered the leader of all swords in the cultivation realm.

If it were to fully cultivate a Sword Spirit, the grade of the Chi Ming sword would immediately elevate to the quality of an Immortal Sword!

It was the one and only Immortal Sword in the entire cultivation realm!

However, in the original plot, the Chi Ming sword, which was only one step away from becoming an Immortal Sword, chose to end its own existence rather than live in the world and be ruled by others. After Tian Xuanzi used it to seal the gate, facing everyone's desire to take it, the sword chose to sever its own body, disappearing from the world.

Tong Su's gaze toward the Chi Ming sword became much more affectionate.

Some people were even less honorable and loyal than a sword.

The current spiritual intelligence of the Chi Ming sword is equivalent to a young child's, just like the little firebird.

Now, these two little ones were bickering against each other. Under the premise of being careful not to draw Tian Xuanzi's attention, they were secretly fighting.

Tong Su watched this fight with interest.

Whenever the little firebird hopped, Chi Ming would twist. The little firebird was too plump and slow to keep up with the Chi Ming sword which made it even more triumphant.

It was ecstatic and lost in joy. The sword tip swayed provocatively at the firebird. It even planned to change its direction and ridicule the firebird with its hilt facing down.

However, just as it was about to move its hilt, a hand reached out and grabbed it.

The sword froze in an instant, terrified!

Tian Xuanzi's gaze swept over them coolly.

"You seem quite entertained by your little game."

The firebird lost its color and, without turning its head, dove into the folds of Tong Su's collar and trembled uncontrollably, pretending as if it did not exist at all.

The Chi Ming sword maintained its composure. It stood rigid, a statue of tension, as if it had been scared stiff, disguising itself as a common sword.

Tong Su, with an air of discipline, stood straight with her chest puffed out and her hands along the seams of her trousers, her face stern. She murmured under her breath, as if reciting a daoist scripture softly, the picture of studious obedience.

—Three masters of drama.

"Let's each take a step back, Tian Xuanzi," a sect leader proposed, not yet ready to give up. "Ziwei Heavenly Palace could refrain from pursuing your crime of betrayal for now, if you spare these disciples. What do you say?"

Tian Xuanzi's eyes lifted slightly, a smirk barely visible on his face as he regarded the persistent sect leaders. Then, almost righteously, he stretched out his arm and casually draped it over Tong Su's shoulder, drawing her firmly into his embrace. Tian Xuanzi affectionately bent his head and kissed her ear.

"Don't ask me; I will listen to what Ah Tong wants."
