"I always thought they were biological siblings. Who knew that six months ago, during his first interview with Central Television, he revealed live that he was an adopted child of the Xi family, and had no blood relation to Xi Tong Su."
"I guess, Xi Chen Zhao intentionally revealed this as a setup for his proposal later, didn't he?"
"Probably!"
Chattering away, the moviegoers in the theater were waiting for the post-credit scene and discussing without leaving. No one noticed that in a corner, two people were quietly leaving, holding hands.
Tong Su looked up, and with a mischievous smile, asked, "Mr. CEO, did you purposely reveal your true origins during the interview?"
Xi Chen Zhao's eyes twinkled with a smile. He lifted his hand and playfully ruffled her hair, saying, "What do you think?"
"Ah! My hairstyle! Stop, you hairstyle-ruining devil! Wait, I'm going to mess up your hair too!"
"Hahaha..."

Seven years later.
Lan Shuer was absorbed in the movie "The Emperor".
This was an extra privilege granted by the prison — a rare opportunity for them to unwind and watch a movie amidst their busy schedules.
She stared at the flamboyantly-dressed Xi Tongsu on the screen, her heart having been too desensitized to harbor any hatred. A prolonged life in prison had extinguished her fervor, and she felt as though she could not escape.
She had already been locked up for seven years, with no sentence reduction. On the contrary, her sentence had even been extended.
Due to fights, causing trouble, or various other reasons.
At this point, Lan Shuer couldn’t help but scoff.
Ji Yu passed away last year; supposedly, he died from a brutal fight in prison.
Regarding the specific circumstances, she was unaware. However, she felt that if she continued to stay here, sooner or later, she'd end up the same.
This was a rather ordinary yet peculiar prison. It was ordinary because every day was filled with regulated work and rest periods, with not a single day of free time. Yet, it was peculiar due to the constant power struggles amongst the prison bullies.
She was definitely not one of those bullies.
She was one of the low-ranking individuals who were bullied by them.
As night fell and shadows spread, through the tiny iron window, she could barely discern the pale moon outside. Faces around her were numb and weary. Carefully, Lan Shuer got up. From behind her, unexpectedly, a cold mocking laughter echoed.
"Number 2548, come over here and massage my foot!"
She trembled involuntarily but unwillingly turned around. It was her boss, one of the top people in this prison, a strong middle-aged woman.
The woman was chewing gum she had somehow gotten ahold of and scanned Lan Shuer up and down with malicious and bloodshot eyes. Her gaze was full of rage, as if she might slap Lan Shuer any moment.
Quickly, Lan Shuer hurried over and knelt down to massage her foot.
This woman liked to genuinely hit people!
She wasn't scared to slap someone so hard they'd lose half their teeth!
The woman was chatting with others: "Really? The big villain in the movie and Empress Xiao are adoptive siblings in real life, and they are married now?"
"Yeah, it's true. God really shows favoritism, some people are just born with a golden spoon in their mouth..."
The woman kicked Lan Shuer lightly and said, "2548, I heard that you were a celebrity before you were sent here. Did you act in any movies? Tell me, do you recognize any of the actors in this movie?"
"...I don't know any of them."
Lan Shuer bowed her head, her voice barely audible.
"You lied!"
The woman violently lifted her foot, giving Lan Shuer a harsh kick away!
"Ah! Sister, please spare me! I beg you, I didn't lie..."
Lan Shuer screamed in pain.
The woman grabbed her hair, lifted her up, and started to beat her fiercely: "The newcomer who arrived yesterday told me, she recognized you, you were a famous model years ago outside, and you even took part in this movie!"
Lan Shuer wailed and begged for mercy, but the woman ruthlessly carried on beating and chasing her while screaming angrily.
"You are indeed a fox full of lies! I also heard that you stole your best friend's man? I hate mistresses the most in my life! Do you know why I am here? I killed my husband and his mistress! Number 2548, you were once a mistress, every time I see you in the future, I will hit you!"
