Boss-gege Excessive Spoiling - Chapter 64

Arc 1: Part 62

The disputes online have escalated day by day, and the filming of "The Emperor" had to be put on hold temporarily. Paparazzi gathered massively around the set, trying to dig for insider details, resulting in Director Zhang giving the entire crew a break.

The staff seemed to believe that the cause of the issue was a dispute among Xi Tong Su, Ji Yu, and Lan Shuer. Undoubtedly, Director Zhang and Mrs. Zhang would harbor resentment towards them.

Ironically enough, Director Zhang indeed exhibited displeasure towards Ji Yu and Lan Shuer. However, whenever he encountered Xi Tong Su, he would merely nod his head, displaying no hint of unhappiness.

Does this mean that Director Zhang favors Xi Tong Su? It's true that Xi Tong Su is a rich heir, but Ji Yu is a leading actor. Does this mean that Director Zhang doesn't care about Ji Yu's connections?

The staff members pondered behind the scenes. Upon detailed consideration, it felt like there wasn’t anything wrong with Director Zhang's actions.

After all, Ji Yu and Lan Shuer were the ones initially at odds. With the uproar escalating online, whether Ji Yu could weather it became another concern.

Meanwhile, despite their best efforts to intercept information, Su Tong's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Su, learned about all the recent developments.

They were furious!

“Drive. Home,” Mr. Su commanded sternly as soon as they landed from their flight. The icy aura around him seemed as chilling as the cold December weather, prompting passersby to cast sideways glances and hurry away.

The driver and assistant had a sinking feeling but dared not say anything. They obediently prepared the car, and en route, they secretly informed Su Tong and Chen Zhao about the situation.

Su Tong hadn't expected her parents to return so suddenly. Upon receiving the message, she immediately called them to explain everything she had planned.

In the car, filled with a gloomy atmosphere, the chill gradually dissipated with the girl's obedient and clear voice.

Mr. Su sighed, "You, child! How dare you! Anyway, your mother and I are back now. We'll help you with whatever is left. We won't let those two people get away with it!"

Mrs. Su watched her husband go from furious to helpless and understood. She couldn't help but laugh and shake her head.

"What about your brother! Instead of stopping you, did he help you do these things? What a kid. We'll see how your mother and I deal with him!"

Su Tong smiled and said, "That phrase is used to describe villains. I'm not a villain. Doing this is for a righteous cause."

"You really have a clever tongue! Alright, call your brother and tell him to come home early tonight. Let's all have dinner together as a family."

Finally, the crisis was resolved, and the driver and assistant breathed a sigh of relief, secretly wiping the sweat from their necks with a bitter smile.

In contrast to the joyous atmosphere in the Su family, a sense of gloom filled Ji Yu's home.

Under immense pressure, Ji Yu hastily released a declarative post on Weibo to fend off the rumors.

"I did not purchase any votes for Lan Shuer's polls! My fiancée is Su Tong, how could I possibly help Lan Shuer? I have absolutely no secret relationships with her. My heart belongs only to Su Tong, I would never betray her! Those who dare to defame me, produce the evidence! Otherwise, we'll meet in court!"

Despite her loathing for Ji Yu, Lan Shuer had no choice but to repost the Weibo, reluctantly writing, "I thought that innocence needs no defense, yet there are those who seek to slander me from behind. Such is the violence of the internet. I swear I did not tamper with the voting results. Everyone can see Su Tong's superb acting skills, I truly admire her!"

Upon seeing the posts, the fans of both were delighted. They flooded the comments of big V's (platform influencers) and media accounts saying, "Our Yu Yu is innocent, he has not derailed. Our Yu Yu is faultless, it's all libel by haters."

The situation seemed to have calmed down on Weibo.

However, their celebration did not last long. At 20:30, during the internet's peak usage time, Su Tong made a post.

SuSuYouTong: "Ever experienced despair? :)"

Along with the post, she attached a video recorded in a hotel room.
